Welcome to Briga Villas on Santorini,
a wonderful cavehouse (canava) high up over the Caldera with a unique
panoramic view over the deep blue Aegean Sea. Let yourself be spoiled
by the island, the magic light and the unique ambience of the refurbished
accommodation.
In traditional island style, yet with modern comfort, the new Briga
Villas (house and Studio 1 + 2) are waiting for you. They have high
quality and tasteful furnishings, with natural light and designer
lighting, SAT-TV , telephone and much more.
The house has a spacious diningroom (sunroom in winter) with two stone
sofas, which can also be used as beds. A large glass door can be completely
opened , so that this room becomes part of the terrace.
Guests will find breathtaking views over the waters of the caldera
(crater) to the volcano and other islands, which are enhanced further
by the magical sunsets. Bougainvillea- and hibiscus trees complete
the sense of well being and the feeling of being at one with nature.
In autumn, winter and spring the large glass door makes the sunroom
wonderfully warm and cosy, yet providing a panoramic view of the spectacular
seascape.
Briga Villas - Studios 1 + 2
The Briga Villas have in addition to the house, two studios (1 +2), which can be rented together with the house (with a discount for renting more than one unit) to give bigger families or close friends the opportunity to spent their holidays together.
The Briga Villas
Unlike most accommodation in Santorini, the Briga Villas have been renovated to provide comfort in winter with floorheating in the bathrooms and marble panel heating in the other rooms. At this time of the year, they would be an ideal escape for guests who want to escape from the stress of everyday life. Here you will find an oasis of tranquility accompanied by a spectacular view.
The Island Santorini
is one of the most southern island of the Cyclades and is famous as the jewel of Greece, Its typical and wellknown Cycladic architecture with white cubic houses, the countless white chapels with their blue cupolars, give a marked contrast to the lava rocks.
Travel information
From May until October by charter direct flights from European cities, or all the year via Athens by plane or ferry.
Distances
The beaches are on the other side of the island (about 7 km) and can be reached by bus or taxi. You can also rent a car and there are car parks off the main road, nearby.
The village Firostefani
is a small picturesque place, about 800 metres north of Fira.
It has informal taverns, stylish restaurants with international
cuisine, cafés and mini-markets.
But if guests want to have a bit more variety, Fira, the main town
of the island, is only 10 minutes walk (about 800 metres). Here
you will find everything: larger supermarkets, restaurants, cafes
(including internet cafes), boutiques, jewelery shops, museums,
and also fitness studios.
Fira has a very intensive nightlife with discos and elegant bars
which are open almost the whole night (until the sunrise). Some
of these continue to be open in the winterseason, especially at
weekends.
